RUSSIA – Russia should have ample forage to get through winter, the Ministry of Agriculture has announced.
Harvest saw strong production of coarse feeds, with straw being the only disappointment.
Forage production at the end of November was 29.1 million tons of feed units, exceeding targets at 102.2 per cent.
Hay exceeded requirements at 112.4 per cent and haylage reached 111.6 per cent as straw fell short at 98.3 per cent of expected demand.
