Argentinian National Health Service and Food Quality Institution SENASA accepted the proposal after all animal health and export requirements were satisfied.

The confirmation is of great significance to the market, said Colombian Agricultural Institute chief executive officer Luis Humerto Martinez Lacouture.

He added Brahman and Zebu breeds would mainly be exported, which have potential interest in other countries.

Further steps will be to develop embryo exports for breeding cattle to Argentina under the requirements of South American free trade agreement MERCOSUR.
