Directorate of Food and Control surveillance has identified 22 cases on a range of holdings and blames illegally moved animals and vectors for the outbreak.

Almost 80,000 cattle have been vaccinated in Adana, the worst hit region. Over 8,000 vaccinations have been issued in K.Maras with Osmaniye and Adiyaman other districts hit by the latest outbreak.

All farms are being disinfected with movement restrictions imposed on a national level.

Close monitoring will continue to track the disease which has been spreading across central and southern Turkey since September 2013.
