Cattle Futures: Live and Feeder Market With Bulls, Thursday

US - Bulls’ next upside price objective in live cattle is to push and close prices above solid resistance at the contract high of $139.85, reports Jim Wyckoff, TheCattleSite analyst.

June live cattle closed up $0.35 at $137.92 Thursday. Prices closed nearer the session high today. The bulls still have the overall near-term technical advantage.

The next downside technical breakout objective for the bears is pushing and closing prices below solid technical support at last week’s low of $136.50.

First resistance is seen at this week’s high of $138.72 and then at $139.00. First support is seen at today’s low of $137.50 and then at this week’s low of $137.30. Wyckoff's Market Rating: 7.0

August feeder cattle closed down $0.40 at $190.27 Thursday. Prices closed near the session low. More profit taking was featured.

Bulls still have the solid overall near-term technical advantage. The next upside price breakout objective for the feeder bulls is to push and close prices above solid technical resistance at the contract and record high of $193.47.

The next downside price breakout objective for the bears is to push and close prices below solid technical support at $187.75.

First resistance is seen at today’s high of $191.05 and then at $192.00. First support is seen at this week’s low of $189.77 and then at $189.00. Wyckoff's Market Rating: 8.0
