Daily Dairy Trading: Butter Trades Well Despite Limited Trading, Wednesday

US – October futures were static again yesterday as Butter was the main spot market commodity, trading 2.5 cents higher.

Six trades lifted Butter to $1.5000, which became the week's best sold spot item on the market yesterday.

Cheddar also sold; registering two trades each for Blocks, at $1.8750, and Barrels, at $1.8200 – the same prices for the week.

Both standards of Nonfat Dry Milk closed stayed on the week’s price of $1.9000 for Grade A and $1.8500 for Extra Grade.

Reports showed a small loss in November Class III milk at the close, down one cent to $18.62.
