The tour took over a week, concluding on Wednesday and was led by Sergio Dolev and David Shitrit of the Food Safety Programme.

Sergio Dolev explained that the tour was vital to the continued trading relationship between the two nations.

Last year, 21,000 tons of meat products were exported from Argentina to Israel, making it the second biggest buyer of Argentian beef.

Likewise, Mr Dolev said that 40 per cent of meat imports come from Argentina.
