Industry Demands More Calves

PARAGUAY – Leading industry figures have decided to increase the annual average number of calves born by 5.5 per cent.

In the meeting room of the Rural Association of Paraguay, the national breeding strategy was announced.

Preliminary discussions have been held across the country with a select group of cattlemen to advise on reproduction and genetics.

Present at the meeting were Dr Hugo Idoyaga, SENASCA President, the Deputy Minister of Livestock and Dr Carlos Pereira of the UNA, amongst others.
