Mike Monighetti, who farms with his wife, Kirstie, in Los Alamos, noticed a major improvement in his cattle after bolusing.

“I could see the difference in our breedback, in the weight of our calves and in the health of our cattle," said Mike. “It’s all I use on our stockers, cows and calves."

His conception rates had always been good but since bolusing he is achieving a breedback of 90% or higher, even in first and second calving heifers.

Every calf that comes onto the ranch is bolused with Copasure.

“They are achieving weight gains right away. They take off and just go from there," said Mike. It has made a big difference to his sales. “We have some guys come here year after year," he said.

The stockers are given Copasure 12.5. “It turns the calves around and they gain enough weight before they go onto the next process," Mike explained.

He is a third generation rancher and the farm has always been deficient in copper. He recalls that when he was growing up a shot was always used on the cattle.

When he came into the business and became aware of Copasure he started using it.

He said calves are healthier because copper passes to them from the cow, both in the womb and through the mother’s milk.
