The arson attack was carried out on January 8th. In an email to the North American Animal Liberation group, the anonymous activists said they placed containers of accelerant below a row of 14 trucks, with four digital timers used to light four of the containers and kerosene-soaked rope carrying the fire to the other 10.

"We're extremely pleased to see that all 14 trucks were a total loss, with some being completely melted to the ground."

Harris Ranch Beef Company is California's largest cattle feedlot, producing nearly 200 million pounds of beef a year. The largest cattle feeder on the West Coast and 14th largest nationally encompasses a 100,000-head feed lot.

No one was hurt in the fire, and it is believed that it had little effect on the business.
