Round Up Latest Beef Facts In Kansas

US - Beef producers can learn more about methods to enhance cattle performance and carcase characteristics by attending Roundup – an April 21, free-of-charge event at the Kansas State University Agricultural Research Center in Hays.

The event will feature keynote speakers Bob Weaber, beef genetics specialist at the University of Missouri, and Burt Rutherford, senior editor of Beef magazine. K-State Research and Extension specialists at the event will cover such topics as nutrition, distillers grains, calf vaccinations, cow temperament and more.

Registration will open at 10 a.m. in the center’s auditorium. The first session will begin at 10:30 a.m., and the day should conclude at 4 p.m. A complimentary lunch, sponsored by Golden Plains Trucking Inc. and Carrico Implement, will be provided.
