Mongolia Vaccinates Cattle, Swine Against FMD

MONGOLIA - The Mongolian veterinary authorities have vaccinated all ruminants against foot and mouth disease in certain administrative divisions.

The World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) received follow-up report no. 5 on Sunday, 5 December.

Although no new outbreaks have been recorded, the following administrative divisions of the country have vaccinated the animals:

Dornod: A total of 53892 cattle and 46 swine were vaccinated;

Sukhbaatar: A total of 136213 cattle were vaccinated;

Khentii: A total of 45156 cattle and 307 swine were vaccinated.

Other vaccinated animals include goats, sheep and camelidae.
