Future Of Industry To Be Debated At EBLEX Conference
UK - The outlook for the red meat sector in 2010 and 2011 will be debated by industry experts at a leading conference in London later this month.

Outlook 2010, A Changing Climate? is jointly hosted by BPEX and EBLEX and takes place on Wednesday, April 14, at One Great George Street, Westminster.
After headline speakers in the morning, including Mark Driscoll, from the World Wildlife Fund, and Sion Roberts, of English Food and Farming Partnerships, the afternoon will see delegates split into two parallel sessions, one dealing with the pig industry and the other with beef and lamb.
On the pig side, Stewart Houston, chairman of BPEX, will chair a session covering topics ranging from pigs and the environment to the outlook for the grain market and outlook for the pig sector. Speakers will include Anthony Kleanthous, of Here Tomorrow, and Michael Archer and James Park, from AHDB Market Intelligence.
John Cross, chairman of EBLEX, will host a session for the beef and lamb delegates, covering the outlook for the sector and the EU market in a global context. Guest speakers will include Richard Brown, director of GIRA, Mark Topliff, of AHDB Market Intelligence, and Stuart Ashworth, of QMS.
"The last year has been a tough one for commodity markets with little growth predicted for 2010 so what does the future hold for the UK red meat industry? The conference aims to explore those issues and find potential answers," said Mark Topliff, senior analyst with AHDB.
The cost for the one-day conference, which includes lunch, is £200 plus VAT.
