Speaking from Stormont, where local Ministers hosted a breakfast to highlight local food products, UFU President Graham Furey said, “Ministers from the Stormont Executive and the Food Standards Agency have given us very strong assurances this morning about the safety of our local products.

"This is a very positive message as we enter the biggest food retailing fortnight of the year. Our focus remains on ensuring that the supply chain for Northern Ireland products returns to normality as quickly as possible.”
