ALMA Launches New Web Site

CANADA - Alberta Livestock and Meat Agency (ALMA) has launched a new web site, offering livestock producers and the meat industry in Alberta now have a new central information source.

The Alberta Livestock and Meat Agency's (ALMA) says that its new web site - at www.alma.alberta.ca - is a valuable tool for livestock and meat producers needing easy access to information and the latest industry news.

The web site features updates on livestock and meat sector competitiveness initiatives and information about the Alberta Livestock and Meat Strategy, ALMA, and the Livestock Information System of Alberta (LISA).

Details on industry workshops and consultations, as well as materials presented during the sessions, are also available.

The creation of ALMA was announced in June as part of the Government of Alberta's plan to revitalize the livestock and meat industry. ALMA is led by an internationally recognized blue-ribbon board, whose role is to work with industry to implement the initiatives outlined in the Alberta Livestock and Meat Strategy.
