Print This Page US Announces Funding for BSE Prevention Programmes
US - The Food and Drug Administration is announcing the availability of cooperative agreements funding to further enhance the infrastructure of State, territorial, and tribal animal feed safety and bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE) prevention programs.These cooperative agreements are intended to fund additional personnel, equipment, supplies, and training support activities related to the FDA ruminant feed ban (referred to as the BSE/ruminant feed ban), in State, territory, and tribal governments.
FDA anticipates providing approximately $1 million in direct plus indirect costs in support of this program in fiscal year (FY) 2008. It is anticipated that four awards will be made for up to $250,000 per award per year for up to 2 years.
