Question The taste of milk?

Hello, I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this or not, but I'm a consumer, end-user so to speak of the general milk. I've tried several brands, from oak farms, to whatever wal-mart gets, to others at my local store, and for some odd reason it seems almost every milk i try lately has this odd... after taste now.

I've been drinking milk for Years, as long as i can remember, i love real milk! i always drink it with a lot of meals, i just don't understand this taste lately.

Does any one know if the farmers are doing any thing different in the past couple months due to economy?

Oh yeah, i typically drink only 2% milk and i live in texas, if it matters.

Real milk is obviously rich in nutritional content and taste also. Due to milk treatment done in on dairy milk it's taste is changed. Patuerization and sterilization phases are responsible for decreasing the real richness of raw milk. But these phases are inevitable for producing milk on a large scale.

Very true Kithylin. I found this forum very interesting. I am also drinking milk since from my childhood. I think nowadays dairy milk specially of cow milk becoming very rare, whereas cow milk is having more nutrient rather than any other milk. But what we are getting is adulterated milk.

Default watered down

the days of milk having the creamy top when you first open bottle are gone the milk today is watered down only organic milk is the real thing but expensive.
additives are added to commercial milk to make it last longer we get ours from the cows does not get any better than that.

Hey Paul you said right that water is well mixed up in milk and we can't get pure and healthy milk.So it should be avoided and pure milk should be supplied.

Well, I started buying organic milk for Greg and I about a month ago when we started on our "healthier eating" journey. I kept hearing about how organic milk tasted better and being someone who LOVES milk, I thought that sounded great.
