France Confirms New Cases of BTV8

FRANCE - Due to a circulating virus in the areas of the Ardeche, Ardennes, Aube, Ille et Vilaine, Lot, Meuse, Upper Rhine, the Savoie, Yvelines and the Essonne, the French bluetongue control zone has been expanded.

Meanwhile, new cases of BTV1 FCO, in the Ariege, Haute Garonne, Gironde and Lot and Garonne has resulted in a change of zoning for these areas also.

So far this year, 5,621 cases of FCO BTV8 have occured in France. Meanwhile, 74 new cases of FCO BTV1 have been confirmed.
